Jack L. Devitt, a lifelong resident of Cornwall and business owner of Agway Gardens and Devitt’s Gardens, died October 8, 2010, at home.
The son of the late Clem Devitt and Agnes Whittaker Devitt, he was born November 22, 1943 in Cornwall, NY.
Jack was a member of the Mountainville Fire Department, the Cornwall Yacht Club, and the Nurserymen’s Association of Orange County.
Survivors include his wife, Oksana; one son, Bob Devitt and his companion, Monica Couser of New Windsor; one daughter, Sandy Pason and her husband, Kevin of New Windsor; and one stepdaughter, Maryna of the Ukraine. He is further survived by his brother, Jim Devitt of Washingtonville; several nieces and nephews and many friends. He is predeceased by his first wife, Trudy Devitt.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 12, at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY, with burial to follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh.
