George Anspach, 85, of Washingtonville, died Monday, August 23, 2010, at Orange Regional Medical Center, Arden Hill Campus, Goshen.
The son of Edward Aspach and Caroline Soell Anspach, he was born September 21, 1924 in the Bronx.
George served proudly in the U.S. Army from 1942-1946. He was a retired truck driver for Manhattan Trucking New York, NY and was married to his loving wife, Heather Anspach for 67 years, who survives him, at home.
He also survived by his daughters: Wendy Collins and her husband, Eugene of Stony Point NY, Yvonne Fischer and her husband, Billy of Lords Valley, PA, Dawn Conklin and her husband, Bob of Fair Oaks, NY, Heather Woodruff and her husband, Larry of Rock Tavern, NY, Phylllis Reilly and her husband, George of New City, NY, and Georgann Vitolo and husband, Tony of Highland, NY; grandchildren: Theresa Collins Barbanera, Gina Collins, Ronnie Tramontano, Jennifer Kennedy, George and Michael Reilly, Joseph and Antonio Vitolo; four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held from 6 to 9 pm on Thursday, August 26, on at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St., Cornwallon-Hudson, NY.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., at the funeral home on Friday, August 27. Burial to follow in Orange County Veteran Cemetery, Goshen, with military honors.
