Obituaries: Katherine L. Reilly

Katherine L. Reilly of Cornwall-on-Hudson entered into rest on Saturday, July 24, 2010 in St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Cornwall campus. She was 97.
Born on May 18, 1913 in New York City, she was the daughter of Adam and Anna Hoffmann. Katherine was the widow of John (Jack) A. Reilly, former police chief of the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson.
Kay was a member and past Deacon of the Cornwall Presbyterian Church, charter member of the Cornwall Hospital Thrift Shop, and secretary for Willow Dell Cemetery.
Her favorite past-times were watching the Yankees and playing cards. Her strong faith in God helped her many times. Her special love was being surrounded by her whole family, especially her eleven great-grandchildren whom she adored.
Kay was the best mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend and she will be forever missed.
Survivors include her daughter. Sheila DiPoalo, and husband, Armond; six grandchildren: Armond DiPoalo, Jr., Christopher DiPoalo and wife ,Jamie, Mark DiPoalo and wife, Christine, Dawn McLean and husband, Bill, Michelle DiPoalo and Bucky and Shannon Panarella and husband, Scott; eleven great-grandchildren: Megan, Kaitlyn, Courtney, Tristen, Makai, Bladen, Jenna, Kyle, Alicia, Morgan and Matthew. She was predeceased by her son, Dale R. Reilly.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at James F. Lulves Funeral Home, Inc., 9 Avenue A, Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 28 at 10:00 am at Cornwall Presbyterian Church, 222 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY. Interment will follow in Willow Dell Cemetery.
