Barbara Purcell, age 66, of Surfside Beach, S.C., formerly of New Windsor, NY, passed away on June 21, 2010 in Murrells Inlet, S.C.
She was a homemaker, the spouse of Patrick Purcell, and was born on July 20, 1943 to Carl Englund and Dorothy Woodruff Englund.
Mrs. Purcell is survived by her husband, Patrick Purcell, at home; sons: Patrick Purcell and his wife, Renee, of Cornwall, NY and Eric Purcell of Surfside Beach SC; a daughter, Kerry Jean Saussaman of Surfside Beach, SC; a sister, Pauline Vari and her husband, Andy, of Clifton, NJ; and grandchildren: Jordan, Colby and Tanner Saussaman and Patrick Purcell.
Family statement : Barbara lived her life for her family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her family will miss her tremendously and will always keep her in their heart forever. She was an amazing friend and will dearly be missed.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 pm on Friday, June 25, 2010 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson NY 12520
A funeral will be a 10 am service at the funeral home on Saturday, June 26, with burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, New Windsor, NY.
