Eleanor Mary Munson, 98, of Cornwall, NY, a homemaker, died May 5, 2010 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh..
The daughter of Joseph and Julia Lancos Lasko, she was born February 2, 1912 in Darien, CT. She was the widow of Russell J. Munson who passed away December 1982.
Survivors include her son, Russell D. Munson and his wife, Anne, of Cornwall; brother, Joseph Lasko of Stamford, CT; grandchildren: Trevor Munson, Jacki Munson, Steve Keegan, Jason Keegan, Tim Keegan and Ronnie Hogancamp; and great-grandchildren: Kyle, Hailee, Kaitlyn, Sean, Jared and Nicholas. She was predeceased by her brothers: John and Paul Lasko and Rev. Stephen Lasko and sisters: Mary Lasko, Betty Hlvac, Julia McCaffrey and Bertha Summerton.
She was a member of St. Thomas of Canterbury Roman Catholic Church and St. Thomas Alter Rosary Society, both in Cornwall-on-Hudson.
A family statement reads: "Eleanor cherished her faith, family and friends. We will be forever touched by her kindness, generosity, humor and love."
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., today, Friday, May 7, at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY 12520.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 8, at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, Cornwall-on-Hudson. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Cornwall.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Thomas Sanctuary Fund, 340 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY 12520.
