John (Jack ) Davis died on January 8, 2010 in Columbus, Ohio He was 81.
Davis, formerly of Cornwall, N.Y., was a retired electrician with IBEW Local 631 in Newburgh, NY. He was born on August 4, 1928 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Karl L. Davis and Gladys Noland Davis.
He is survived by his wife Vickie Karr Davis, of Columbus, OH.; a son, Michael Davis and his wife, Diana, of Montgomery, NY; daughters: Sherry Ethridge and her husband, Arlis, of Roy, UT., Debbie Twohig and her husband, John, of Lansing, KS, Missy Irwin, of Cornwall, NY, Janine Pufall and her husband, Reagan, of Omaha NE, Aimee Stafford and her husband, Lance, of Shawnee, KS., Jonelle June and her husband, Bob, of Athens, NY; a sister–in-law, Anne Lyle, of Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY; many nieces & nephews; grandchildren: Jacob, Nathan, AJ, Greg and Jessica Ethridge, Wesley, Shannon, Lauren and Brigid Twohig, Jenna and Jared Davis, Gary and Jake Irwin, Megan, Sally and Reagan Pufall, Jeffrey, Brett, Julie Turner, Timmy, Ben and Sam June; and 16 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife Regina Ann Cunningham Davis.
Davis was a past president of IBEW Local 631 in Newburgh, NY, and was a member of the Board of Directors of Storm King Golf Club in Cornwall, NY.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 pm on Friday, January 15, 2010 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY 12520
There will be a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 16, 2010, at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church in Cornwall-on-Hudson NY.
