Genevieve Denton of the Town of Newburgh entered into rest on Friday, November 6, 2009 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY. She was 85.
The daughter of the late John and Anna Johnston Munday, she was born on April l, 1924 in Kingston, NY.
A statement from Genevieve’s grandson reads: “Dear Grandma – You will be greatly missed by us all. I’m sad but at the same time relieved. Finally you, Dad and Grandpa are together again. Love, Trevor “
Genevieve loved and nurtured many little Lovebugs who will carry her in their hearts forever.
Survivors include: brothers John Munday and wife Kay of Newburgh, and Parker Munday of Cornwall; sisters Anna Gray of Cornwall, and Colleen Arnold of VA; grandson Trevor Denton and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Warren Denton, Sr., son Warren Denton, Jr. and her sister Mary.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
