Nicholas P. Corea, 72, of Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY, a retired Federal Police Officer with U.S. Mint at the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY, passed away June 20, 2009, at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh Campus.
The son of Nicola Corea and Helen Culligan Corea, he was born March 16, 1937 in Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY.
Nicholas was a former Police Chief for the village of Cornwall-on-Hudson.
Survivors are his former wife and best friend, Marylou Corea; son, Nicholas A. Corea and fianceé, Jennifer Bloom of Cornwall, NY; daughter, Patricia A. Corea and husband, Juan C. Lujan; three sisters: Mary Butler of New Hartford, NY, Helen White of Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY, Rose Wissig of Walden, NY; four grandchildren: John, Nikki, Rebecca, Michael Lujan; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Catherine Corea in 1964; brother, Ernie DeGastonguay.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY 12520.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 26, at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY. Burial will private.
