Ethel A. Watkins, a lifetime area resident, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, June 5, 2009.
She was the wife of the late Herbert M. Watkins who passed away in 1972. Ethel was along time member of Bethlehem Presbyterian Church for almost 70 years in New Windsor, where she served for deacon for many years. She also retired from Cel-u-Dex Co. in New Windsor, N.Y. in December, 1994.
Ethel is survived by her children: Brian and his wife, Kim, of New Windsor, Susan Halvorsen and her husband, Erik, of New Windsor, son Charles, of Cornwall-on-Hudson; five grandsons: Keith, Jason, Kyle, Nicholas & Matthew.
Ethel was predeceased by her long time companion, Martin Ricci. Ethel was a loving woman with a great spirit who could never be tied down. She loved traveling and spending time with her family and was always available to help any friends and church members when ever they needed her . She will be truly missed by all of us and the world was a better place because she was part of it.
