Ruth M. Vogel of Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 after a long illness. She was 76.
The daughter of the late Walter and Ethel Zabriskie Post she was born on April 11, 1933 in Allendale, NJ.
Ruth was a 50 yr. member of Storm King Engine Co. Ladies Auxiliary and a member of Cornwall Presbyterian Church. She was also a past police dispatcher, crossing guard and police matron for the Village of Cornwall.
Survivors include her husband Francis F. Vogel at home: daughters Gladys Pacenza and husband James, and Susan Armitage and husband Jeff; son Robert and wife Tina and grandchildren; Jessica and husband Craig, James Jr., Kristi, Chelsea and Danny. She was predeceased by a son, Francis Jr.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2009 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at James F. Lulves Funeral Home, Inc., 9 Avenue A, Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 in the funeral home following visitation.
Interment will follow in Friends Cemetery, Cornwall, NY.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ruth’s name to Storm King Engine Co. Ladies Auxiliary, PO Box 291, Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY 12520.
