Nearly 800 people attended the opening of artist Maya Lin's earthworks exhibit at Storm King Art Center this Saturday. The permanent installation consists of a series of grass-covered hills shaped like large swells at sea.
Despite the large crowd that came to see Wavefield, photographer Tom Doyle was able to take this photo of the artwork, balanced in this shot by the sky. While at Storm King Art Center he also took a photo of the The Wall That Went for a Walk by Andy Goldsworthy, another permanent installation at the world-reknown sculpture park.
