Joan Shovan of Cornwall, NY, an area resident for many years, died February 16, 2009 at home. She was 74.
The daughter of the late William Booth and Dorothy Degroat Booth, she was born April 25, 1934 in Ellenville, NY. She was the widow of James Shovan.
Survivors include two sons, James Shovan and William Shovan of Cornwall; two daughters, Joann McKennan of New Hartford, NY and Jeanine Czumak of Cornwall; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; two brothers, Roderick Booth of Kingston, NY and Edward Booth of Ellenville, NY.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 19, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Quigley Bros Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 20, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the American Heart Association.
