Theresa M. Scalise of Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY, died peacefully surrounded by family in her home on Thursday, January 22, 2009. She was 75.
The daughter of Angelo Paone and Rosa DeSimone Paone, she was born on August 26, 1933 in Nyack, NY. She was the widow of Paul J. “Cy” Scalise.
Survivors include one son, Dr. Paul J. Scalise and his wife Dr. Yuki Allyson Honjo; one sister, Rose Hall, four brothers, Carmine Paone, Angelo Paone Jr., Salvatore Paone, and Joseph Paone, brother-in-law Saverio Scalise and his wife Rose, several nieces and nephews, and several generations of great nieces and nephews,
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Enrico Paone, Francis Paone, Anthony Paone, and Albert Paone.
Theresa and her husband were the proprietors of Prima Pizza in Cornwall, NY from 1968-1989, having moved the family business (Paone’s Pizza) from Nyack, NY which began in 1958.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at 10 AM a.m. at St. Thomas of Canterbury Roman Catholic Church in Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY.
Burial will be in St. Thomas of Canterbury Cemetery, Cornwall, NY
