Helen E. Johnson, nee Misdom, departed this life on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, NY after a long battle with cancer.
A graduate of Cornwall-on-Hudson High School and Orange County Community College, she was a registered nurse. In her career, she worked at St. Luke’s Hospital, Newburgh, NY, Moon F. Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL and Arden Hill Hospital, Goshen, NY.
She was a member of Cornwall Presbyterian Church, always involved in preparations for the annual Roast Beef Dinner, Apple Time Fair and the Midnight Run.
Helen leaves her sister, Janette and brother-in-law, Richard W. Kline of Wolcott, CT., as well as many cousins, nephews and their spouses and great-nephews and great-nieces. She was predeceased by two husbands, Joseph Eadry and Paul R. Johnson.
She was a compassionate woman, devoted to her family and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 7, from 3-6 p.m. at James F. Lulves Funeral Home, Inc., 9 Avenue A., Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY. Funeral services were on Monday, December 8, at 1 p.m. at Cornwall Presbyterian Church, Cornwall- on-Hudson, NY. Interment will be in Springfield, MO at the convenience of the family.
