Ann B. Adams, age 86, of Cornwall, N.Y., formerly of Garnerville, N.Y., died at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital on Thursday, December 18, 2008.
Mrs. Adams had been a secretary with the Rockland County Department of Health. She was born on May 12, 1922, in Greenock, Scotland, the daughter of James and Mary Bonar McKeefry.
She is survived by her husand, Philip R. Adams, at home; a son, Philip G. Adams and his wife, Elizabeth, of Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y.; three daughters: Georgette Pronesti and her husband, Frank, of Kingston, N.Y., Susan Moran and her husband, Michael, of Tompkins Cove, N.Y., Mary Lewis and her husband, William, of Pt. Pleasant, N.J grandchildren: Suzanne Sherman, Esq. And her husband, Neal Sherman, MD, Frank Pronesti Jr. , Melissa Moran, James Pronesti, Dr. Caroline Young and her husband, Steven, Katie Moran, Elizabeth Pronesti, William Lewis III, Daniel Lewis, Michael Moran , Philip J. Adams, Bridgette Lewis, Brian Adams, Matthew Moran, Patrick Lewis and Robert Adams; and great grandchildren: Samuel & Charles Sherman and Gavin Young. She was predeceased by a sister, Mary McSherry.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, Decembre 21 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home at 337 Hudson Street, Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, December 22, 2008 at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church in Cornwall –On-Hudson, N.Y. Burial will be private.
