Frank Ostrander took this photo from Grandview Avenue looking north and west towards Newburgh on Thursday morning.
The grey clouds and bare trees remind us it is December. Frank says his wife Susan spotted the unusual rainbow. He notes that most every rainbow he has seen is the east, with the sun coming from the west but this one was in the west, created by the morning sun to the east.
