Walter W. Hedden, 74, of New Windsor, died on November 21, 2008 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh, N.Y.
Mr. Hedden was a retired truck driver for Holmes Transport of Newburgh, N.Y. He also served in the U.S. Navy from 1952-55.
He was born on August 25, 1934, in Walden, N.Y., the son of William Hedden and Lucy Mead Hedden.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Davis Hedden, at home, a son, Walter W. Hedden, Jr., New Windsor, N.Y., daughters: Margaret Palumbo, of New Windsor, N.Y., Mildred Sheley, of New Windsor, N.Y., sisters: Christine Addudell, of Ohio, Geraldine Wayne and Delilah Ashcraft, both New Windsor, N.Y. Grandchildren: Nicole, Audrey and Ralph Palumbo, Rachel Banning and Remington Hedden, along with many nieces & nephews.
No public visitation.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 11 a.m. Graveside Service on Friday, November 28, at Bethlehem Cemetery, Rt. 94 & Jackson Ave., Cornwall ( Salisbury Mills, N.Y.) with Military Honors.
