Dorothy E. Melvin, 82, of Cornwall, N.Y., died on October 30, 2008, at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, N.Y.
Mrs. Melvin was a retired receptionist with MacBeth Company in New Windsor, N.Y. She was born on May 5, 1926 in the Bronx, N.Y., the daughter of Alexander Gray and May Handwerk Gray.
She is survived by her sons: William Melvin and his wife, Marlene, of Fishkill, N.Y., Robert Melvin, of Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y., and Daniel Melvin and his wife, Rebecca, of Cornwall, N.Y.; daughters: Doreen Lippin and her husband, Herbert, of Ft. Lee, N.J., Donna Shaddak and her husband, Dennis, of Oswego, N.Y.; grandchildren: Carolyn and Laura Shaddak, Brittany Melvin, Margaret Melvin, Timothy & Abigail Melvin .
VISTITATION: 5 to 7:30 PM on Monday 11/3/08 At Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St. Cornwall –On-Hudson NY 12520
FUNERAL SERVICE: 7:30 p.m. on November 3, 2008 with pastor Dan Russell – Cornwall-On-Hudson , N.Y. Cremation will follow in Cedar Hill – Newburgh, N.Y.
