Alfred W. Lutz, 90, of New Windsor, N.Y., died on October 28, 2008 at Kaplan Family Hospice in Newburgh, N.Y.
Mr. Lutz was born on March 27, 1918 in Yonkers, N.Y., the son of William Lutz and Mary Kietle Lutz. He was the owner of L&S Service Center in Yonkers, N.Y.
He is survived by his son, Robert A. Lutz, of New Windsor, N.Y.; daughters Nancy Slater and her husband, Tom Fenton, of Rotterdam, N.Y., Kathleen Moglia, of New Windsor, N.Y., and Karen Krichbaum and her husband, Robert; and a sister, Virginia Dumond, of Binghamton, N.Y.; grandchildren, Russell Slater and Dawn, Kelly and Matthew Willet, Sandra Slater, Kimberly Hare and Robert, Jennifer Esquivel and Abel, Karen Brodsky and Alan, Kevin Moglia and Dina, Eric Lutz and Priscilla, Devin, Brendan & Kaitlin Krichbaum; and great grandchildren: Katrina, Kaileen, and Karianna Willet, Ryan Slater Weimann, Corey and Justin Slater, TJ Brodsky, Kindred Hare, Arianna Lutz, and Kara Brodsky. He was predeceased by sisters Anne Leacock and Amelia Smith and a brother, Eugene Lutz.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday, November 3, 2008, at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St. Cornwall –On-Hudson, N.Y. 12520.
There will be a 10 a.m. graveside service on Tuesday, November 4, 2008, 11/4/2008 at St. Thomas Cemetery- Cornwall, N.Y.
