Josephine Katherine Zimmerman, 68, of Cornwall, N.Y., died October 12, 2008 at Hudson Valley Hospital in Peekskill, N.Y.
Mrs. Zimmerman was the late Earle C. (Bud) Zimmerman Jr. who passed away on February 2, 2007. She was a retired secretary for the Cornwall Central School District. Mrs. Zimmerman was born in Brooklyn, New York, on July 31, 1940, the daughter of Rosario Garaffa and Mary Giangiacomo.
She is survived by four daughters: Gail Stanley, of Cornwall, N.Y., Loretta Wasson and her husband, Ron, of Newburgh, N.Y., ,Jodi Zupkoff and her husband, Adam, of Fl. and Donna Kieckhafer and her husband, Brian, of Cornwall-On-Hudson, N.Y. ; seven grandchildren: Melissa and Nicholas Stanley, Amanda , Alison, and Alicia Zupkoff, Tyler Kieckhafer, andMatthew Wasson. Also loved by her nieces , Nephews, Cousins, and close friends. She was predeceased by a brother, Carlo Garaffa, and a sister, Theresa Garaffa
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in New Windsor.
Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2008, at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home. 337 Hudson St. Cornwall-On-Hudson NY 12520
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Friday, October 17, at St. Josephs Catholic Church at Rt. 9W and Union Ave in New Windsor. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery in Cornwall.
