Helga S. Ward, age 79, of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., formerly of Cornwall, N.Y., died on August 30, 2008, at Pines Nursing Home in Poughkeepsie.
Helga Ward was the wife of Robert Ward and she was a retired registered nurse. She was born on October 25, 1928, in Angerberg, Germany, the daughter of Hans Scmidtee and Elizabeth Prussit Schmidtee.
She is survived by her husband, Robert V. Ward, of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., formerly of Cornwall, N.Y.’ son Mark W. Ward, of Central Valley, N.Y.; and daughter Elisabeth W. Harrison and her husband, Joseph, of Milford, Pa.
Visitation hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, September 5, 2008 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home at 337 Hudson Street, Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y.
A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremains will be interred in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Mountainville, N.Y.
