General News: Grant Award for Village Police

The Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson Police Department recently received a Grant Award from, PERMA, Public Employee Risk Management Association, in the amount of approximately $1,775.00 to be utilized to cover half the cost of both five (5) Point Blank Bullet- Proof Vests and five (5) Point Blank Bullet- Proof Vest Outer- Carriers for Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson Police Officers.
The Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson Police Department recently applied for approximately $4,776.00 in Grant funding from the GTSC, NYS Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee. This funding would be utilized for approximately $2,576.00 in traffic enforcement efforts and approximately $2,200.00 for the purchase of a new Radar Unit for a Cornwall-on-Hudson patrol unit.
