Sandra Baxter-Davidson, formerly of Cornwall, N.Y., passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at UMass Medical Center in Worcester, MA after a short illness.
Sandra has lived in Westborough, MA since 2007, and prior to that, most of her life in Cornwall, NY. She was born in Pearl River, NY in December 11, 1948.
Sandra was a graduate of Pearl River High School, Class of '66, as well as Berkeley Secretarial after High School. She worked for the NY State Parks Commission, at Bear Mountain, as administrator until 1975 when she left her job to start a family. In 1991 Sandra became co-owner operator of Canterbury Coach Ambulette Service in Cornwall, NY. She later became Director of the Museum of the Hudson Highlands, retiring in February 2007, after 20 years of service. For many years Sandra was the Church Treasurer of the Cornwall-on-Hudson Presbyterian Church and also worked as a Tax preparer. Sandra most recently was employed as Admin/bookkeeper for DFX trucking in Westborough, MA.
Sandra is survived by her beloved husband, Frank Davidson of Westborough, MA; her mother, Dagmar MacNaughton of Coxsackie, NY, and her two loving children, Kimberly Ferracane of New York City and Scott Ferracane of Cornwall and her dog, Mickey.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 7 at the Cornwall-on-Hudson Presbyterian Church, 222 Hudson Street, Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY 12520, and at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8 at the Good Sheppard Lutheran Church, 183 West Main Street, Westborough, MA 01581.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the National Humane Society in Sandra's name.
Sandra will be missed by all who knew her for a lifetime, as well as just a moment.
