Elizabeth K. Cannon of Cornwall, N.Y., a retired finance officer for the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, NY, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2008 at Wingate at Beacon. She was 87.
The daughter of the late Michael and Kathryn Fanning Cannon, she was born April 29, 1921, in New Windsor.
She is survived by her caregivers, Susan Plona, of New Windsor, Nancy Calameri, of Cornwall, and Nancy Evans, of New Windsor, and several other cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 16, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Hudson Valley Funeral Home, Inc., 239 Quassaick Ave., (Route 94), New Windsor.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 17, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, New Windsor. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Elizabeth's name may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
