Dorothy A. Wilcox, age 87, of the Town of Newburgh, N.Y., died on April 20, 2008 at St. Luke’s Cornwall hospital.
Wilcox was the spouse of the late John Wilcox. She was a homemaker who was born on October 9, 1920, in Millbrook, N.Y., the daughter of William Hart and Nettie Whiteley Hart.
She is survived by her son, John Wilcox, of the Town of Newburgh, N.Y., a sister, Anita Benjamin, of Tannersville, N.Y. and grandchildren: Mary and Jim Smith, of New Windsor, N.Y., Susan and Peter Haupt, of Cranford, N.J., Greg and Billie Sue Wilcox, of Murfreesboro, TN., and great-grandchildren: Allison Smith, Rebecca and Kimberly Haupt, and Andrew and Kevin Wilcox
Wilcox was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in the Town of Newburgh, N.Y., and the Town of Newburgh Golden Age Club.
There is no visitation. A memorial service will be at the McClelland’s Home for Adults, Old Castle Point Rd., Beacon, N.Y. on May 18, 2008 at 2:00 PM.
Burial of Cremains will be in Valley View Cemetery, Dover Plains, N.Y.
