Rena Zaracostas, 83, of Cornwall-on-Hudson, New York died at home on February 12, 2008.
Mrs. Zaracostas was a homemaker and waitress at the Highland Falls Restaurant.
She was born on November 23, 1924, in Allison, Pa., the daughter of Pio Bearzi and Carmela Pais Bearzi.
She was predeceased by her husband, the late Nickolas Zaracostas.
She is survived by two daughters, Helen Zaracostas, of North Carolina, and Vilma Russ and her husband, Clifford, of Cornwall, two grandchildren, Nicholas and Eric Russ, a niece, JoMarie Ziegler and her husband, Amos, of Michigan, a great niece, Zoe Ziegler, and her sister-in-law, Maria Bearzi, of Fort Montgomery, N.Y.
SURVIVORS: 2 Daughters: Helen Zaracostas – North Carolina , Vilma Russ & Her husband Clifford- Cornwall NY , 2 Grandchildren Nicholas & Eric Russ, Niece JoMarie Ziegler & husband Amos-MI , Great niece Zoe Zeigler , sister –in-law Maria Bearzi- Ft. Montgomery NY
There will be no public visitation .
Funeral service:: 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, February 16, 2008, at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church in Cornwall-on-Hudson. Burial will follow in Peacedale cemetery at a later date.
