Sabatino "Carmine" Cocchia, formerly of Newburgh, N.Y., died on January 23, 2008, at age 69.
Carmine was predeceased by his parents Nicholas and Antionette Cocchia, brothers Salvatore Cocchia and Joseph Cocchia and sister Jenny McDaniel.
Carmine’s biggest accomplishment in his own words was his family, whom he loved and cherished. He brought many good times and happy memories to us all! Arrivederci!! Vedali presto!
Survivors include his five children: Carmine A. Cocchia and wife, Patricia, of Cornwall, Serina A. Cocchia-Smith, of Cornwall, Dean N. Cocchia and wife, Maria, of Wayne, N.J., Sabatino C. Cocchia and wife, Desiree, of Conroe, TX and Antoinette M. Czuprynowski and husband, John, of Houston,TX. Six grandchildren, Ryan Smith, Jordan Smith, Payton Cocchia, Michael Cocchia, Alexa Cocchia and Sabatino Cocchia. Sisters Anna Gaydos and husband, Gary, of Newburgh and Mary Casullo and husband Joseph of Newburgh and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no public visitation. Funeral service will be held at the 9:30 AM mass of Christian burial at Sacred Heart church, Robinson Ave, Newburgh, N.Y. on Saturday, February 16, 2008. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.
