Jeanette Gloria Edsall 76, of Cornwall-On-Hudson, N.Y. died on February 8, 2008 at Orange Regional at Arden Hill in Goshen, New York.
Mrs. Edsall, who was married to John B “Jack “ Edsall Jr., was a retired school teacher with the Cornwall school district at Lee Rd. school for 24 years. She graduated from Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, N.Y. and obtained her Masters’ degree at Fordham University. Edsall also taught CCD at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Cornwall-on-Hudson. She was a passionate teacher who loved talking to her former students.
Mrs. Edsall was born October 28, 1931 in Orange, New Jersey, the daughter of Edgar Helbing and Margaret Russo Helbing . She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Court Rita council in Cornwall-on-Hudson, Meals on Wheels , and a volunteer with the Cornwall hospital .
She is survived by her loving husband John “ Jack” Edsall Jr., sons: Mike Edsall and his wife, Michelle, of Cornwall, and Mark J. Edsall and his wife, Maureen, of Cornwall-on-Hudson, and four
grandchildren, Bridget, Erika, James, & Karin Edsall, as well as one sister, Dorothy Morris, of Highland Mills, New York.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, 2/11/08 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home at 337 Hudson Street in Cornwall-on-Hudson, New York.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, 2/12/2007 at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church- Cornwall-on-Hudson, New York. Burial will follow the Mass in St. Thomas Cemetery in Cornwall, N.Y.
