Charles (Todd) Nelson Jones, 84, a lifelong resident of Cornwall, died on February 2, 2008 at Hudson Valley Rehabilitation Center, in Highland, N.Y.
The son of Charles Henry Jones and Christina Nelson Jones, he was born on November 16, 1923, in Newburgh, N.Y. He married the late Margaret Yetman Jones on August 10, 1946, in Cornwall. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Jones was a retired mechanic for Nepera Chemical Co. in Harriman, N.Y. He was a member of the Cornwall Historical Society and also the Cornwall Continentals and a lifelong member of St. Thomas of Canterbury Church. Charles loved animals and was an avid collector of clocks and miniature cars.
He served in the Air Force during WW II and was a former crew member of the 98 Bomb Group, 15th Air Force.
Survivors include a son, David and his wife, Pamela, of New Windsor; three grandchildren, Richard Laffin, Steven Laffin and Mary Laffin Hernandez. He was predeceased by a sister, Ellen Jones Hubbard.
Friends may call on Wednesday, February 6 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the James F. Lulves Funeral Home Inc., 9 Avenue A, Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, February 7 at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340 Hudson St., in Cornwall-on-Hudson. Interment will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Cornwall, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charles' memory to Cornwall Volunteer Ambulance Corps, 1 Clinton St., Cornwall, NY 12518.

Hello to Peggy and David . I would so like to hear from either or both of you after all these years. My son David revisited Cornwall recently and informed me about the Grail in the old Stillman house where we lived. I have such fond memories of Charlie and Chrissie and of Todd and his family.
