Charlotte (Lottie) Gibbons, 76, of Red Hook, N.Y., formerly of Cornwall, died on January 29, 2008, at Vassar Hospital in Poughkeepsie.
Gibbons was married to John P. Gibbons for 47 years. She was a retired bus driver for West Point Tours of Vails Gate for 24 years. Gibbons was also a founder of the Cornwall Cinderella Softball League, a dance instructor with the Arthur Murray Dance studio in New York City, and a past president of the Highland Engine Company Ladies Auxiliary in Cornwall.
She is survived by her husband John P. Gibbons; daughters Liz Krause and husband, Georg, of Cornwall, N.Y., and Cathy Burke & husband, Sean, of Red Hook, N.Y.; one son, John Gibbons, of Washington, D.C.; two cousins: Peter Daly & wife, Eloise and Olive Mason & husband, Dick; four grandchildren, Jessie & Sami Krause and Sean & Charlotte Burke. She was predeceased by her sister, Marilyn Meers.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, February 1, 2008 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 227 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y. 12520.
Funeral service will be at the Quigley Bros. Funeral Home at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2008. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery in Cornwall, N.Y.
