Gail P. McDermott, 72 years old, died at home on December 9, 2007.
Mrs. McDermott was a homemaker and a resident of Cornwall for 38 years. She was married to her husband, Richard J. McDermott since June 8, 1957.
She was born on April 29, 1935, in Poughkeepsie, New York, the daughter of Augustus Pettit and Lucy Merritt Pettit.
She is survived by her husband Richard J. McDermott at home, one daughter, Beth Ann Basilico and her husband, Bruce, of Cornwall, one son, Todd McDermott and his wife, Kimberly, of Greenville, N.Y and six grandchildren: Kaitlin, Sarah and Laura Basilico, and Griffin, Grace and Gavin McDermott.
Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, N.Y.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Woodlawn cemetery in New Windsor, N.Y. Contributions to Hospice Of Orange & Sullivan, 800 Stony Brook Ct. Newburgh, N.Y. 12550
