Arrests
06/07/23 Christopher P Compton, age 34, of New Windsor, NY was arrested on a bench warrant on on a charge for criminal possession in the seventh degree of a controlled substance.
05/26/23 A 57 yr old male from S Ozone Park, NY was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree.
06/06/23 A 22 yr old male from Newburgh, NY was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree and an interlock violation.
Incidents
Police issue 8 tickets to drivers.
05/02/23 Police take a report of a vehicle accident in a parking lot on Rt 9w.
05/02/23 A caller complained that a landscape truck with strobe lights on was irritating their eyes.
05/03/23 A caller reported that her ex-boyfriend stole her phone. Police call the phone several times with no answer.
05/04/23 Police assist a driver changing a flat tire.
05/04/23 Police respond to CVS for shoplifters.
05/04/23 Police assist with a vehicle lockout on Quaker Ave.
05/05/23 A subject reported to Police that he observed a new white Dodge Durango with a driver in a ski mask at 4:15 am driving around COH then in Town with bright lights on. The driver asked if he was following him and hit his vehicle with a pipe causing a dent. COH DPW workers also identified the vehicle and Police were working on reports for stolen catalytic converters that morning involving a white Durango.
05/08/23 Police take a report of burglary from a business owner on Industry Drive. Security camera footage showed juveniles on black mountain bikes enter the property, go through an unlocked door and smash glass to a vending machine to take chips.
05/08/23 A resident from Rt 94 reported that someone hit his mailbox.
05/09/23 Police take a report of a 2 vehicle accident with property damage on Rt 32.
05/09/23 Police respond to Dunkin for a report of a disorderly man. He purchased a drink then threw it on the donut shop’s window.
05/12/23 A Beaver Dam resident reported that 3 teens took his boat out without his permission. Police interviewed the teens and explained to them that their actions are an arrest able offense.
05/16/23 A juvenile was in possession of stolen property fro CVS and had to return the property with an officer present.
05/17/23 Police took a 4 reports motor vehicle accidents w/no injuries one on Mill St, one on rt 94,one on Angola Rd and another on Cedar Ln.
05/19/23 A wallet was found by library staff and turned in to Police. Wallet returned to owner.
05/19/23 Police respond to a vehicle accident with injuries on Quaker Ave.
05/21/23 A caller said her tires were slashed overnight.
05/22/23 DB Mart advised that they had a customer drive off without paying for gas. The subject swiped his card and the pump turned on but the charge did not go through. The subject agreed to return to the store to pay for the gas.
05/23/23 Police respond to Peter Scott Dr. for an ongoing neighbor dispute. one neighbor said they other neighbor said he would “break him in half’. That neighbor signed a violation information form for harassment and the case and paperwork will be sent to the courts for a criminal summons.
05/24/23 Police respond to route 9W south for a one vehicle accident no injuries reported.
05/24/23 Police respond to Main Street for a report of a hit and run damage to a parked vehicle.
05/25/23 A resident reported an attempted scam. He saw an alert on his computer and thought he had been hacked.
05/26/23 A complainant from Sylcox Rd report a larceny from her unlocked vehicle.
05/27/23 A toddler wandered into a home on Wyndgate Dr. The Police canvassed the area and located the toddler’s grandfather.
05/27/23 A complainant walked in to Police and reported harassment by an unknown person demanding that family members pay them $2500 on cash app and the harasser had her location and sent her a photo of an AR rifle.
05/28/23 Police respond to a car vs deer accident on Angola Rd.
05/28/23 Police take a report that 4 kids damaged the press box door at the Little League, knocked over several benches and ran off towards the VFW.
05/28/23 A subject lost her AirPods at the park and located them to 129 Main st. Police responded to the building where the AirPod signal was coming from and a person said he found them.
05/29/23 Police respond to Jackson ave and Rt 94 for a 3 vehicle accident and rollover with injuries.
05/29/23 Police take a report of a 2 vehicle accident on Main St.
05/29/23 Police and CFD respond to Russell St for a structure fire.

06/06/23 The Cornwall Historical Building was vandalized with graffiti on the rear of the building.
06/08/23 Police take a report of car vs deer accident on Rt 94, no injuries.
06/08/23 Police respond to Scenic Dr for a report of 3 youths lighting fireworks. They extinguished the fire and were advised by Police.
06/08/23 Police respond to a report of a woman being followed home and approached by an unknown male. The male drove behind her, got out of his vehicle in her driveway and told her she is beautiful and being watched. She took a photo of his license plate for a Police report.
06/10/23 CFD extinguished a fire on CSX tracks.
06/10/23 Police take a report and photos of injuries after a subject was attacked from someone he knows at school.
06/11/23 Police and EMS respond to Maranatha Ln for an ATV accident and 1 juvenile is airlifted to Westchester medical and another by ground to Orange Regional.
06/12/23 Police respond to Rt 94 for a 2 car accident with injuries and a 2 car accident on Main st with property damage.
06/13/23 Police take a report of car vs deer accident with property damage on Orrs Mills Rd.
06/13/23 A resident contacted Central Hudson after a neighbors alarm was going off.
