Edward M. Johnson “Eddie Mac” entered into eternal rest on September 5, 2022. He was 81 years old.
The son of the late Victor P. Johnson, Sr. and Stella (Kane) Johnson, Edward was born on November 11, 1940 in Cornwall on Hudson, NY.
Edward proudly served in the US Navy (1959-1961) and the US Marines (1965-1969). He was a retired civil service employee from United States Military Academy, West Point, NY.
Edward was a life member of Storm King Engine Company #2 and a member of the Storm King Volunteer and Exempt Fireman’s Benevolent Association. He was a life member of Black Rock Fish and Game Club and a member of American Legion Post #1796.
Edward is survived by his sisters-in-law: Ann Johnson and Hildegard Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers: Thomas, Victor Jr, John Sr, William, Robert and Stephen; and his sister Margaret Strom.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 10th at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson Street, Cornwall on Hudson, NY. A Chapel Service will be held at the funeral home after visitation. Interment will follow the service at Willow Dell Cemetery, Cornwall on Hudson, NY.
