Robert Graham Donald, of Cornwall, NY entered into eternal rest on January 14, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was 77 years old. Bob fought a courageous battle against ALS. He was a brave man that did not complain about the disease which took so much from him. He continued to have faith and a positive attitude.
The son of Marion and Hugh Graham Donald, Bob was born on May 22, 1943 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Bob earned his Bachelors of Animal Science degree from Iowa State University. Bob was employed by Grand Union for 32 years and Production Resource Group for 6 years.
Bob honorably and proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. He was an active member of St. John’s Episcopal Church.
A family statement reads: “Bob was a proud man who worked hard to provide for his family. He loved spending time with his wife, Pat as they shared 50 years of marriage and had many wonderful memories. Bob took pride in his daughters and experienced joy watching his granddaughters grow up. He enjoyed growing his tomatoes, swimming in his pool, watching Iowa State sporting events, and spending a day at the cassino.” He will be missed greatly.
Bob is survived by his loving and dedicated wife: Patricia of Cornwall; his loving daughters: Linda (Mark) Giovene, and Lisa (Brian) Sweeney; and his cherished granddaughters: Amber, Molly, Summer and Maggie.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, January 18th at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. Due to the continued public health concerns of covid-19, please know that there is an occupancy limitation which may cause a wait time. Facial coverings must be worn in the funeral home at all times.
A Funeral Service will be held privately. Interment with Military Honors will take place at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 19th at the Orange County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen, NY 10924.
Bob and his family feel blessed and grateful for all of the support they received in recent years.
