Arrests
Gregory N. Rocco, age 66, of Cornwall-on-Hudson, Ny was arrested and charged with criminal mischief in the 3rd degree.


Incidents

Police issue approximately 2 warnings for leash law and multiple (no total count) summons to drivers including warnings and summonses issued for parking at the riverfront without a permit and warnings and summonses issued during a special traffic assignment.
06/16/20 Police respond to Cumberland for a report of a vehicle blocking the exit.
06/17/20 A complainant called in to Police to report that while walking her dog down to the riverfront she yelled to a man not to let his dog go near hers because her dog recently had back surgery. The man told her to next time” keep the dog the f&%k home you n&**$r” The complainant was highly upset as she lived in Cornwall for 27 yrs, works two jobs and is a white woman and never thought she would be called that in her town.
06/18/20 Police and Fire Dept respond to an alarm for smoke coming out of a boiler in a home on Washington Ave.
06/18/20 Police respond to a vehicle vs bike accident on Dock Hill Rd involving a child with minor injuries.
06/18/20 Police respond to a report of children swimming in the river and advise that there is no swimming allowed.
06/18/20 Police take a report of larceny of 2 signs on Bayview Ave. The signs read “drive like your kids live here”
06/20/20 Police respond to a residence on Pine St to assist a raccoon stuck on a garage roof.
06/20/20 A wallet was found at the river and returned to its owner.
06/20/20 A wallet was found on Hudson St. and returned to its owner.
06/21/20 Police and Fire Dept respond to a transformer explosion on Grandview Ave and notify Central Hudson.
06/21/20 Police advise juveniles skateboarding and doing tricks on train tracks.
