Members of the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts participated in the Wreaths Across America ceremony at St. Thomas Cemetery on Saturday, December 14th. The volunteers laid wreaths at the the graves of veterans in the cemetery. Wreaths Across America is on the second Saturday of December each year. Volunteers raise money, register their cemetery and coordinate delivery of the wreaths to the cemetery. Lisa Favino is the volunteer who raised the money for the wreaths this year. Her father served in the Army and is buried in St. Thomas cemetery.
Senator James Skoufis attended the ceremony and led the group in a moment of silence and the Pledge of Allegiance.
Members of the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts laid wreaths in memory of those who served our country on veterans’ headstones.
