Anne C. Greehy, of Cornwall, NY entered into eternal rest on January 9, 2018 at Nyack Hospital, Nyack, NY. She was 75 years old.
The daughter of the late John Griffin and Annie (Keady) Griffin, Anne was born on July 18, 1942 in Galway City, Ireland.
Anne was a retired Unit Secretary for Cornwall Hospital in Cornwall, NY. She came to the United States in 1960 at the age of 17 and proudly became a US Citizen in 1971. Anne was a charter member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians – Division 2, Orange County. She was a medal winner for her Irish dancing at the Rita White Claddagh Dancing School.
Anne is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, John B. Greehy; her brother Michael Griffin and his wife Noreen; her sister: Maureen Bruen; and her niece: Anne Marie McPartland; and many close nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her siblings: Thomas Griffin, Gared Griffin, Dela O’Reilly; and her nephew: Michael O’Reilly.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, January 13th and 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, January 14th at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St. Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 15th at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope, NY.
