Albert John Mitchell, Jr., “Mitch”, of Cornwall, NY passed away on May 5, 2017 peacefully at home. He was 88 years old.
The son of the late Albert John Mitchell, Sr. and Gladys May Prokosch, he was born in Newburgh, NY on March 6, 1929. Mitch was married to Barbara E. Turner Mitchell.
Mitch attended Newburgh Free Academy, Newburgh, NY and was a retired Repairman at Quedo & Bob’s Auto Body of Newburgh.
In addition to his loving wife, Barbara, Mitch is survived by his daughter, Dawn Marie Darling; a son, Albert John Mitchell, III; grandchildren, George Chila, Jacklyn Marie Mitchell, Albert John Mitchel, IV and Monique Ann Darling; many cousins, nieces, nephews, In-laws, friends and neighbors. He is also survived by his loyal dog, Gucci and cat, Precious. Mitch was predeceased by his daughters, Francis Lee Chila and Frances Lynn Mitchell.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10th at Cornwall United Methodist Church, 198 Main Street, Cornwall, NY.
