Vincent “Vinny” Roccisano, of Highland Mills, NY entered into eternal rest on February 16, 2017 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Wallkill, NY. He was 74 years old.
The son of Vincent A. Roccisano and Jennie (DeBenedetto) Roccisano, Vinny was born on September 25, 1942 in Brooklyn, NY.
Vinny was a retired Firefighter for the City of New York.
Vinny honorably and proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Coast Guard during the Vietnam Era
He was an active member of the St. Patrick’s Church where he faithfully served as a Eucharistic Minister.
Vinny was a loving husband, father and grandfather that has left behind a legacy of love and faith and will be forever missed.
Vinny is survived by his loving wife, Ellen B. (Maloney) Roccisano at home; his devoted daughters, Veronica G. Roccisano, Ellen G. Beadle (Fran), Jennie G. Dabney (Matthew) all of Highland Mills, NY and Geralyn A. Salerno (Michael) of East Northport, NY; Seven grandsons and one granddaughter; his brother, Anthony Roccisano (Janet); two sisters, Kathryn DiGregorio and Frances Oliva; his sister-in-law, Judy Roccisano; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Vinny was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph and John Roccisano.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, February 19th at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St. Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 20th at St. Patrick’s Church, 445 Route 32, Highland Mills, NY. Interment with Military Honors will take place following the Mass at Cemetery of the Highlands, Highland Mills, NY.
