Obituaries: William E. Kline, Sr.

William E. Kline, Sr., of Salisbury Mills, a retired Field Technician for NY Telephone and a lifelong resident of the area entered into rest on Sunday, January 15, 2017. He was 84.
The son of the late Frank Sr. and Arneita (Haight) Kline, he was born in Newburgh on July 20, 1932. He was proud to serve our nation as a member of the USAF. He married Merle Kline in 1961. She predeceased William in 1982. In 1986, William married Judy Kline, who also predeceased William in 2009.
William was a member of the Black Rock Fish & Game Club, Orange Lake Fish & Game Association and the Knights of Columbus.
William is survived by his children, daughter, Karen Ziegler (Joseph) of Albany, NY; two sons, William E. Kline, Jr. (Cheryl) of Sparrowbush, NY and Eric Kline (Jacqueline) of Austin, TX; grandchildren, William E., III; Ryan; Michael and Brianna Kline; Dakota Ziegler; Braeden and Bridget Kline.
Visitation will be held from 4-7pm on Thursday, January 19 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh, with a funeral service at 6:30 pm. Burial with Military Honors will be held at 10 am on Friday, January 20 at Orange County Veterans Cemetery, Goshen.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of William may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
