Rochelle S. Grant, 72, died peacefully on her birthday, Sunday, January 15th at the Campbell Hall Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Brooklyn, New York to Reuben and Norma Grant and was the youngest of three children.
After graduating from high school, she attended Brooklyn College. She spent her adult life courageously struggling against her lifelong mental illness. In her final years she was able to address her circumstances with resignation and humor.
Rochelle was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother, Dr. Martin B. Grant. She is survived by her brother, Fred Grant, of Cambridge, Mass., her sister-in-law, Joanne C. Grant, of Cornwall, New York and by her loving nieces and nephews, Judy, Jessica, Jennifer, David, James and Martin Andrew as well as many cousins.
A Memorial Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Friday, February 3rd at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St. Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY.
