The daughter of the late Arthur and Bridget Herity Gildea, she was born on June 14, 1947 in Bronx, NY.
Irene worked for many years in the Cornwall Central School District. She was adored by so many there and served as a mother to all. She loved dancing, music, Mickey Mouse, the Yankees, chicken marsala and a natty Irishman. She loved her home and being surrounded by such a wooded magical place. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and spoiling them with gifts and treats. She loved all her many pets and treated them like gold. She loved QVC and daily visits from her familiar UPS man. She inspired many fighting countless courageous battles and will be deeply missed.
