Obituaries: Elizabeth Connor

December 05, 2016

Elizabeth Connor of Cornwall, NY entered into eternal rest on December 3, 2016 at New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City, NY. She was 60 years old.

Elizabeth is the daughter of the late John and Helen Foy. She was born on February 27, 1956 in Rockaway Beach, Queens NY.

Elizabeth was a member of the St. Thomas of Canterbury Church in Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY.
Bettie has lived in Cornwall for over 40 years and truly loved the quaintness and beauty of this little, as she would call it, “Norman Rockwell Town.” She loved spending time down by the river to gaze in the marvel and beauty of the mountains. She was an extremely spiritual woman. Gods light always came shining through her as she always put others before herself. She loved taking care of the elderly and listening to their words of wisdom. Her passion and love in life was for her family. She will be greatly missed.

Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband Daniel M. “Danny” Connor; stepson Sean; and her siblings John Foy (Margaret), Patrick Foy (Kitty), Edward Foy (Ronnie), Thomas Foy (Linda), Mary Lardner (Thomas), and Theresa O’Gara (John). She is also survived by thirteen nieces and nephews, fifteen great nieces and nephews, and one great great niece. Elizabeth was predeceased by her son Sean Dumas.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6th at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson Street, Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 7th at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340 Hudson Street, Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor, NY.

Arrangements are entrusted to Quigley Bros. Funeral Home; to send condolences or to get directions to the funeral home, please go to WWW.QuigleyBros.Com
