Mary Jane Gisselbrecht, 85, of Salisbury Mills, New York entered into rest on September 6, 2016.
Mary Jane was born in Bronx, NY on January 23, 1931 to Edward and Veronica (Ward) Lusk.
She attended Evander Childs High School in Bronx, NY. In her early years Mary Jane worked as a secretary then relocating to Salisbury Mills, NY in 1960. Mary Jane was a homemaker and an avid gardener who was a National Garden Club Master Flower Show Judge as well as a Judge and Chairman of the Judges Council for 10th District of the Federated Garden Clubs of NYS. She joined the Cornwall Garden Club in 1984 and was held in high esteem for her expertise.
She was a devoted wife to the late George Leo Gisselbrecht. She is survived by her loving son, Mark Gisselbrecht, and Vera Toth of Salisbury, Mills, NY; daughter, Julienne Rice-Tamsen of Brightwaters, NY; cherished grandchildren, Matthew Rice, Rick Fenical, Mindy Fenical, and Candice Fenical-Mullady; and three adoring great grandchildren; Sister, Johanne Wood of Cape May, NJ as well as her nephew Roger Tucker of Bayville, NY.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, September 11th at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, September 12th at St. Mary's Church, 42 Goshen Avenue, Washingtonville, NY. Interment will be private.
