Wesley F. Orr, of Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY entered into eternal rest on May 31, 2016 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY. He was 83 years old.
The son of the late Elmer Orr and Dorothy A. Johnston Orr, Wesley was born on February 27, 1933 in Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY.
Wesley was a retired Fleet Lease Manager for Newburgh Auto Auction, Newburgh, NY. He also worked for many years as an Auto Appraiser for Hudson Valley Auto Appraisers and also owned his own business at one time.
Wesley honorably and proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army Reserve.
He was a lifetime member of Storm King Golf Club in Cornwall. Wesley was fond of people and had many friends in the Hudson Valley. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was very helpful to his sons his entire life and very proud of his two granddaughters. He will be dearly missed by his entire family and by his great number of friends.
Wesley was pre-deceased by his loving wife, Joan M. Wallace Orr in 2013. He is survived by his sons, David A. Orr and his wife Dawn of Cornwall-on Hudson, NY and Alan J. Orr and his wife Cheryl of Gardiner, NY; Two grandchildren, Kimberly and Christie; and a sister, Dolores Calamari of Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2016 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St. Cornwall-On-Hudson NY. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the funeral home. Rev. Patricia Calahan of the Cornwall Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will follow the Service at Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor, NY.
