Edny Eriksen of Cornwall-on-Hudson entered into rest on Monday, October 4, 2015. She was 92.
The daughter of the late Josef and Amalia Nilsen, she was born on April 26, 1923 in Arendal, Norway.
Edny was an active member of Cornwall United Methodist Church. She loved doing crossword puzzles in ink, and was an avid knitter. She will always be remembered for her Norwegian sweaters and mittens. Edny was a loving mother, grandmother and friend and she will be deeply missed.
Survivors include: daughters Annette Hart, RN and Joanne Rera and husband James; grandson Christian J. Benson; granddaughter AnneLisa Benson; adopted daughter, Kay Wright. She was predeceased by her husband Eivind Eriksen, and her daughter AnneLisa.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 7 from 4-7pm at James F. Lulves Funeral Home, 9 Avenue A, Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 8 at 10am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Willow Dell Cemetery.
