Ryan Joseph Moran of Cornwall, NY, entered into eternal rest on September 18, 2015 at Westchester Medical Center. He was 21 years old.
Ryan was the son of Sharon and the late Thomas Moran, former NYS Police Investigator. Ryan was born on June 1, 1994 in Newburgh, NY.
Ryan was a kind and loving person who cared greatly for his family. He was a wonderful son, brother, cousin and friend.
Ryan was a PC Gamer enthusiast with online gamer friends all over the world. Ryan also enjoyed attending car shows with friends. He was an avid motorcyclist and was always happy riding and exploring the hills of the Hudson Valley.
Ryan made the personal decision to enlist in the U.S. Marine Corp with the full support of his family. He dedicated his time to training for his enrollment in January, 2016. Ryan will be missed greatly and always remembered.
Besides his father, Ryan was predeceased by his grandfather, Thomas Moran, Sr., grandparents, William and Rosemarie O'Neill and uncle, Kevin O'Neill.
Ryan Moran is survived by his mother, Sharon Moran; brothers: Sean and Matthew Moran of Cornwall, NY; grandmother, Patricia Moran of Valley Cottage, NY; uncles and aunts: Marcus O'Neill of Camillus, NY, James and Johanna O'Neill of New City, NY, Robert and Susan O'Neill of Chester, NY, James and Francine Moran of Basking Ridge, NJ and Michael Moran of Monroe, NY; cousins: Kaitlyn O'Neill of Camillus, NY, Kyle, Jessica and Jade O'Neill of New City, NY and Alana and Tyler O'Neill of Chester, NY; numerous relatives from Boston, MA and Forest City, PA and several close friends.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, September 22nd at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 23rd at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340 Hudson St., Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. Fr. Rees Doughty will officiate. Cremation will be at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope, NY.
