He was 58 years old.
The son of Martin E. Smith Sr. and Josephine Randazzo Smith, Douglas was born on November 17, 1956 in Cornwall, NY.
Douglas E. Smith was an associate with Mid-Hudson Auction Galleries in New Windsor, NY.
A family statement reads: "Doug was full of life and made everyone around him laugh and smile. He loved his animals, motorcycles and a good yard sale. He will be missed greatly."
Douglas E. Smith is survived by his beloved companion, Carol "Casey" Partridge and her children: Raquel Papa Futia and Dominick Papa; his brothers: Gary Smith and his wife, Kathy of Cape Coral, FL, Martin E. Smith Jr. and wife, Marianne of New Windsor, NY, Owen M. Smith and wife, Charlene of Canastota, NY and sister, Joanne Grant of Cornwall, NY; grandchildren: Jerome, Rocco, Marco Futia; also Alexander Papa; nephews and nieces: Martin A. Grant and Jennifer Grant, Anthony, Daniel, Jason, Michael, and Kimberly Smith and Angela Smith Ohoppe.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9th at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10th at the funeral home.
Burial will follow the service in St. Thomas Cemetery, Cornwall, NY.
