General News: Cornwall Senior Center to Open
March 15, 2021
FROM TOWN OF CORNWALL SUPERVISOR RICHARD RANDAZZO
MUNGER COTTAGE WILL BE RE-OPENING ON MARCH 15th ON A LIMITED BASIS:
After consulting with our County Executive Steve Neuhaus and our County Health Commissioner Dr. Gelman, I am pleased to report that we will be re-opening Munger Cottage on a limited basis starting Monday, March 15th. As everyone knows we have been working with the health agencies during the past year and have been very cautious in an effort to do our part to help control the spread of COVID in our community to protect our residents and staff.
Initially, Munger Cottage will open at a reduced capacity and compliance with ALL County Health Department and CDC regulations will be required for all programs and meetings at the Cottage. Information will be coming out on town programs and schedules as they become available. Groups and organizations can resume holding their meetings at Munger Cottage, but should contact the Town Clerk’s office to confirm availability. The Commissioner emphasizes that our senior citizens are still the most vulnerable population for COVID and urges seniors to be cautious about attending gatherings until they are vaccinated.
If you have any questions, please call the Supervisor’s Office at 845-534-3760. For scheduling the use of Munger Cottage, please call the Town Clerk’s Office at 845-534-9100
