Ellen P. Allen of Beacon, formerly of Philmont, NY, entered into eternal rest on 12/15/2014. She was 86 years old.
The daughter of William and Nellie Rose Teetsell, was born on 09/14/1928 in Catskill, NY. Ellen was a retired machine operator for Charter Supply, Inc.
Ellen was a loveable and self giving person, who loved to give hugs and kisses to all.
Ellen was a member of Cascade-Vassar Chapter #347 Order of the Eastern Star, a past District Deputy of the Order of Rebekahs, and a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Cornwall, NY.
Ellen was predeceased by her husband Clinton E. Allen, Sr.
Ellen is survived by her children Donald and Janet Faulkner, of Valatie, Richard and Susan Faulkner, of Valatie, and Clinton Allen and Kevin Kincade, of New Windsor. Her siblings Gertrude and Al Keller, Clyde and Elaine Teetsel, Alfreda McMurray, and Vera and Jerry Whitman. Four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend its appreciation to Wingate at Beacon for the wonderful care that Ellen received in her two years there.
Visitation will be held from 10am-12 noon on Saturday December 20, 2014 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 66 Clinton Street Cornwall, NY. With an Eastern Star service at 11:30 am. A funeral service will be held immediately following the viewing with Rev. Suzanne Toro officiating. Burial will be 10 am Monday December 22, 2014 at Mellenville Union Cemetary. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church for their capital campaign. 66 Clinton St. Cornwall NY 12518
